Reno 1868 FC News Release

RENO, Nev. - Reno 1868 FC forward Corey Hertzog has been named the USL's Player of the Week for the third time this season. Hertzog tallied two goals in Friday's 3-1 road win over New Mexico United. The victory earned 1868 a third-straight trip to the USL Championship Playoffs.

Hertzog's two goals raised his season total to 16, a career high. The total is tied for third in the USL, and tied for the second-most for a single season in club history. Only Dane Kelly has scored more in a season for Reno, with 18 in 2017. Hertzog has set a new career high with six assists as well.

This is the third time this season Hertzog has been named to the team of the week, joining Duke Lacroix as the only two Reno players to earn the honor more than twice. Last week, forward Danny Musovski earned Player of the Week honors, and defender Brent Richards joined him on the team of the week.
