Hershey Bears announce promotional nights

The HERSHEY BEARS have announced their line-up of promotional nights for the 2006-2007 season. To date, the BEARS have 30 promotional nights scheduled for the upcoming season. Returning promotions for the 2006-2007 season are THE HERSHEY COMPANY Trick-or-Treat Night, Autograph Night, and Fairview Golf Course Night. Also highlighting the schedule are Canteen & Covenco / Stroehmann Turkey Shoot Night, two HERSHEYPARK® Pass Nights, and six Dollar Hot Dog Nights. There are also 18 specialty Group Nights and seven Theme Nights for the upcoming season, which are detailed below.
The following is a list of the 2006-2007 promotional nights:
Calder Cup Championship Celebration Night (October 21) - At the 2006-2007 HERSHEY BEARS home opener, the party on the plaza will continue from the playoffs with live music, food and games outside GIANT Center. The first 7,000 fans will receive a keychain with a replica of the BEARS 2005-06 Calder Cup Championship ring, there will be a pre-game ceremony which will consist of the 2005-06 Calder Cup Championship banner raised to the rafters, the players receiving their championship rings and the BEARS will wear special Champions jerseys. Following the game, the players will sign their jerseys and auction them off. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to a charity, through the HERSHEY BEARS Foundation.
PNC Bank Night and The Hershey Company Night (October 28) -The first 8,000 fans will receive a magnet schedule with all BEARS home and road games, as well as the All-Star Break, and BEARS ticket information, compliments of PNC Bank. Also, all kids, ages 12 and under, will receive a Trick-or-Treat bag full of goodies, compliments of THE HERSHEY COMPANY. Kids of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costume for the third annual HERSHEY BEARS costume contest. Upon arrival at the game, costume contestants can sign up at Coco's Kids Clubsm Headquarters to be in the contest.
Labatt Blue / Labatt Blue Light Night (November 4) - The first 4,000 fans will receive a Labatt Blue / Labatt Blue Light Poster schedule.
Patriotism / Support Our Troops Night & Dollar Dog Night I (November 5) - Once again, the HERSHEY BEARS will honor our countries men & women in our Armed Forces. Show your support by wearing Red, White and Blue as we give them a special BEARS welcome. Hot dogs will be offered for one dollar each at various concession stands throughout the game
Capital BlueCross Night (November 18) - The first 5,000 fans will receive a BEARS Calder Cup Champions car magnet, compliments of Capital BlueCross.
Stroehmann / Canteen & Covenco Turkey Shoot (November 22) - All fans are invited onto the ice following the game to try their luck at winning Thanksgiving Day food items. Those fans that hit the board will receive a bag of stuffing from Stroehmann Bakeries. The lucky shooters to score will win a gift card to GIANT Food Stores.
Help the House Night (November 25) - The HERSHEY BEARS Booster Club will be collecting items as you enter the game to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
Pennsylvania Lottery Night (November 26) - The first 2,500 fans, 18 or older, will receive a free instant game coupon to redeem at GIANT Food Stores.
HERSHEYPARK Pass Night I & Throwback Night (November 29) - Back as the most popular BEARS promotion, all fans in attendance will receive a one-day pass to fun-filled HERSHEYPARK, good through July 4, 2007. The BEARS will wear commemorative 1979-80 jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game for Charity.
Sesame Street Live Night & Coco's Birthday (December 2) - The first 3,000 fans will receive a Sesame Street / Elmo Junior Jellybean toddlers book complete with a discounted coupon offer inside good for the Sesame Street LIVE "Super Grover Takes Action" coming to GIANT Center, January 4 - January 7, 2007. Fans are encouraged to bring gifts and cards to tonight's game in honor of Coco's birthday. All gifts collected will be donated to the USMC Reserves Annual Toys for Tots Campaign.
Toys For Tots Toy Drive (December 3) - The BEARS wrap up the weekend with one last toy drive to collect new, unwrapped toys for the USMC Reserves Annual Toys for Tots Campaign.
Boyds Bear Country Night (December 9) - Back by popular demand, the first 3,000 fans will receive a Boyds Bear compliments of Boyds Bear Country.
WGAL & BELCO Teddy Bear Toss Night & Dollar Dog Night II (December 10) - Always a crowd favorite, all fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or another stuffed animal to the game. When the BEARS score their first goal of the game, fans are encouraged to toss the stuffed animals onto the ice in celebration of the goal. All teddy bears will be donated to local children's hospitals. Also that night, hot dogs will be offered for one dollar each at various concession stands throughout the game.
CKC Pharmacy & Gift Shops (December 16) - The first 2,500 fans will receive a $10 gift card good at any CKC Pharmacy & Gift Shop.
Christmas Jersey Night (December 23) - The BEARS will wear special Christmas jerseys in their game versus the Philadelphia Phantoms. Following the game, the players will sign their jerseys and auction them off. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to a charity, through the HERSHEY BEARS Foundation.
Strictly Formals New Year's Eve with the BEARS (December 31) - Come start the party early as the first 4,000 fans who enter GIANT Center will receive a noise maker.
Huggins Printing Company Team Photo Night & Dollar Dog Night III (January 14) - Back as one of the BEARS more popular promotions, the first 5,000 fans will receive an 8" x 10" full color photo of the 2006-2007 HERSHEY BEARS. Also that night, hot dogs will be offered for one dollar each at various concession stands throughout the game.
Dr. Lori's Antique Appraisal Night (January 21) - Bring your art, antiques, and questions to art historian, certified art and antiques appraiser, and TV personality Dr. Lori - one free antique appraisal per fan.
Dollar Dog Night IV (February 7) - Hot dogs will be offered for one dollar each at various concession stands throughout the game.
Central PA Public Libraries Night (February 10) - The first 4,000 fans will receive a magnetic notepad courtesy of your Central Pennsylvania Public Libraries.
Penn State Heart & Vascular Institute Night (February 17) - The first 3,000 fans will receive a HERSHEY BEARS t-shirt from Penn State Heart & Vascular Institute. Penn State Hershey Medical Center will be hosting a "Health Awareness Fair" on the GIANT Center concourse.
PSECU Night (February 18) - The first 4,000 fans will receive a knit cap courtesy of PSECU.
Dollar Dog Night V (February 21) - Hot dogs will be offered for one dollar each at various concession stands throughout the game.
Auto Locator Night (February 24) - Auto Locator promotional item to be determined.
UGI Night (March 3) - The first 5,000 fans to enter GIANT Center will receive a rally towel to help cheer on the BEARS against the Senators.
Dollar Dog Night VI (March 4) - Hot dogs will be offered for one dollar each at various concession stands throughout the game.
Celtic Night & St. Patrick's Day Jersey Night (March 17) - Come celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style with the BEARS. Live Celtic sounds from bagpipers plus win prizes by wearing your best St. Patrick's Day green. The BEARS will wear special St. Patrick's Day jerseys and auction them off. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to a charity, through the HERSHEY BEARS Foundation. The HERSHEY BEARS Booster Club will also be holding a food drive for the Central PA Food Bank; all fans are encouraged to bring a donation.
HERSHEYPARK Pass Night II (March 21) - Yes, we are having two HERSHEYPARK nights again! All fans in attendance will receive a one-day pass to HERSHEYPARK, good through July 4, 2007.
Autograph Night (March 25) - All fans are welcome down onto the ice after the game to get autographs from the players. Fans who enter the ice after the game will have 90 minutes to take photos and get autographs with the BEARS.
Biker Night (March 31) - Attention Bike Clubs, this night is for you!!! Show off your colors and your bikes as the BEARS welcome bikers from across Central PA.
Fairview Golf Course Golf Ball Night (April 7) - Once again, Fairview will put us all in the mood to golf! The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a 2006 Calder Cup Champions logo golf ball, compliments of Fairview Golf Course.
Player Awards Night & Fan Appreciation Night (April 8) - The BEARS players are recognized for their hard work during the course of the regular season. Some of the awards that are presented include Team MVP, Best Defenseman, Rookie of the Year, and Top Plus/Minus Award.
In addition to the 30 promotional nights, the BEARS have slated 20 special Group Nights and seven Theme Nights for the upcoming season. Remember, groups of 15 or more may purchase discount tickets to any game (excluding November 29 and March 21). The BEARS open their regular season at home on October 21, when they face-off against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for all HERSHEY BEARS home games may be purchased by calling the GIANT Center Box Office at 717-534-3911.
