COMSTOCK PARK - Justin Henry had four hits including a walk off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth as the Whitecaps edged Dayton, 6-5. Henry went 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI as West Michigan scored in the winning run in the ninth inning for the second game in a row. Noah Krol, who earned his 12th save of the season in the last win, Tuesday at South bend, pitched 1.2 shutout innings to pick up the victory.

West Michigan grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a home run by Chris Carlson. Henry's double in the third drove in Joe Tucker for a 2-0 advantage. Also in the third, Carlson tripled but wound up stranded at third.

Dayton cut the lead in half thanks to an unearned run in the fourth on a single by Jake Kahaulelio. He finished 3-for- 4 with a double and a run scored.

When trailing 2-1 in the fifth, Zack Cozart tied the game with an RBI double. The Dragons took their only lead of the night on a single later in the fifth off the bat of Denis Phipps. A solo home run by Chris White in the bottom of the fifth tied the game for the Whitecaps, 3-3. Prior to launching two home runs in the game, the last time a Whitecap hit a home run at home was August 28 when Kody Kaiser went deep against Cedar Rapids. West Michigan rallied for two in the bottom of the seventh, but the Dragons tied the game with two in the top of the eighth. Cozart had the game-tying hit in the eighth and finished 4-for-4 with two RBI and a hit by pitch. Angel Flores led off the bottom of the ninth with a double. He was replaced by pinch runner Cory Middleton who moved to third on a sacrifice by Tucker and ultimately scored the winning run.
