Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings organization is proud to acknowledge that current goaltender #30 Henry Dill (G-Columbus, OH) has announced his commitment to play Division I college hockey for the UMass Minutemen of the Hockey East Association.
Dill, a 1995 goaltender from Columbus, Ohio has been solid for the Wings this season. Currently 18-7-1 with a 2.21 goals against average, Dill has helped the Wings win 12 of their last 15 games. The Aberdeen Wings have clinched a playoff spot and are sitting 2nd in the NAHL Central Division.
Last off-season, Dill was drafted by the Cedar Rapids Roughriders of the USHL but opted to play for the Aberdeen Wings. Dill did however play one game for the United State Development Team in the USHL, while playing for the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets where he won 14 games in 2012-2013.
Dill becomes the 18th current/former Wings player to make a Division I commitment since the inaugural season of the team in 2010-2011. He is also the 11th player and 2nd goaltender to make a Division I commitment since February of 2013. The announcement comes only weeks after current Wings defenseman #4 Jake Horton (D-Plymouth, MN) made his commitment to play for the UMass Minutemen. Wings forward #19 Colin O'Neill (F-Odenton, MD) is also committed to a Hockey East program in UMass-Lowell, separate from the UMass Minutemen.
