Help Pick the Pride's Primetime Player

(NASHUA, NH, July 16, 2007) The Nashua Pride would like to invite fans to vote for the 2007 Burque Jewelers' Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award. Voting will take place at Historic Holman Stadium and online at www.nashuapride.com.

Online voting will begin on Tuesday, July 17th and ballots will be available at every home game until September 1st. During games ballots are available at the front gate.

Burque Jeweler's MVP Trophy will be on display for the remainder of the season in the Lion's Den. Pride fans will have the opportunity to choose the winner of this prestigious award. The following six candidates were chosen by the local media and Pride front office officials.

The six candidates include:

- Rich Garces: A dominant force closing out games all season; among the league leaders in saves.

- Tom Creighton: A leader on and off the field for the Pride; among the team leaders in hitting; only Pride player who has been perfect in the field.

- Akira Okamoto: The league's leader in strikeouts; among the league leaders in virtually all other pitching categories.

- Luis Rodriguez: In addition to his stellar hitting, he is arguably one of the best in the league in handling a pitching staff.

- Hideki Nagasaka: One of the most consistent pitchers in the league; among the league leaders in strikeouts, winning percentage, and opponent's batting average.

- Olmo Rosario: A lightning rod in the field and at the plate; among the league leaders in batting average and hits; leads the team in virtually every offensive category.

The Nashua Pride Professional Baseball Club, entering its tenth anniversary season, provides a fun, affordable, community-based and fan-friendly source of sports entertainment. The Pride is participating in its second year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball.
