Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
Well let me start off by saying I was one of the people that never thought that hockey would be part of my life but a lot has changed since November 2004. My best friend has season passes and asked me to go to a game with her on November 20, 2004 (Ice Bears vs. Barracudas) it was a blast!
Since then I have been to almost all of the games and even went to Huntsville on a road trip. I have even bought season passes for next year so I won't miss any games and hopefully will get to go on more road trips. My first game I have to say was a little overwhelming I wasn't sure what to expect but after the first period I was hooked! Over the rest of the season I got to meet all kinds of new people and got to meet all the players. They are all great guys. Of course everyone well almost everyone has a favorite player and mine of course is Mike Craigen, because he is so full of heart for the game.
>From the first game I seen, all the guys are great and are all down to earth people like you and me. There was a night me and my friends stood in line after a game until almost 1am to get autographs of the players, and I was told there were still there awhile after that. It takes good people to do that. Well enough about the players let me tell you about Chilly!!! He is great! Everyone loves to see him dance around and act crazy doing headstands on the ice and always keeping the fans entertained.
Y Another thing that is great about going to the games is the intermissions. During first intermission there were things going on like tricycle races, wiener dog races, dodge ball and all kind of other things, they were all great. During second intermission there is chuck a puck, it is where everyone can buy a foam puck put there name on it and on the count of 3 everyone chucks them on to the ice trying to land them on a circle to win prizes. The whole atmosphere at all the games is great, there is a lot more I could say about my experiences at the hockey games but that is all for now. Go see for yourself it is great and you will have a blast! Season for 05-06 starts in October some come have fun and meet new people.
