Abbotsford Heat News Release

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat will look for a bounce back performance tonight against the Houston Aeros (Minnesota Wild) after Tuesday morning's wild 7-6 shootout loss. The three-point game saw the Heat move into sole possession of fourth with the single point, while the Aeros hurdled three teams into seventh in the Western Conference with a pair of points.

Yesterday saw the Heat debut of J.P. Testwuide, who arrived on loan from Chicago, as well as Nick Tuzzolino, who was the captain of the Utah Grizzlies - the ECHL affiliate of the Heat. Testwuide drew praise from the coaching staff following his debut. The 27-year-old Vail, CO product bounced between forward and defense after arriving at the rink less than two hours prior to the game after sleeping on the floor at YVR waiting for customs. Tuzzolino was paired with Clay Wilson most of the night.

Ben Walter, Clay Wilson and Hugh Jessiman all had three point days on Tuesday. Walter has 13 goals and 43 points in 59 games as the lone iron-man of the hockey team. After scoring yesterday morning, Wilson is now tied for the AHL lead in goals among defenders with 13. Jessiman continues to add to his career high, now having amassed 23 goals this season, after potting a pair in the shootout loss.

The Heat have earned four wins and a shootout loss to the Aeros in five meetings thus far this season. Tonight's game can be heard on Country 107.1 beginning with the 6:30 pre-game show, ahead of 7:00 puck-drop. The game can be also heard on Country 107.1's website, theAHL.com, and on the Rogers Radio App for your wireless device.
