
Canadiens Reassign Leblanc and Engqvist to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forwards Andreas Engqvist and Louis Leblanc have been reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Both players will be available for tomorrow's Pink in the Rink game.
Engqvist, 24, has played 12 games with the Canadiens this season, recording five blocked shots and nine hits, averaging 6:35 minutes of ice time per game. The 6-foot-1, 201-pound centre leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 34 points (18 goals, 16 assists) in 44 games this season. The native of Stockholm, Sweden has eight power play goals and 100 shots on goal with the 'Dogs in 2011-2012.
Leblanc, 20, has played 28 games with the Canadiens this season, including his first NHL game on Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 in Anaheim against the Ducks. The 6-foot, 184-pound forward recorded seven points (3 goals, 4 assists), scoring his first career NHL goal on Thursday, December 15th, 2011 against the Philadelphia Flyers. Leblanc has registered 37 shots on goal, 46 hits and displayed an even plus/minus differential while playing for Montreal. The native of Pointe-Claire, Quebec has played in 27 games for Hamilton this season, recording 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists) while registering two power play goals and 99 shots on goal.
The Bulldogs next take to the ice for "Pink in the Rink" on Friday, March 9th, 2012 when they face the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. on Cogeco night at Copps Coliseum.
