Heat Assign Three to Utah

Abbotsford Heat News Release


Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have assigned forwards David Eddy, Adam Estoclet and Michael Ferland to the Utah Grizzlies of the East Coast Hockey League.

Eddy, a native of Woodbury, MN has played in only two games this season with the Heat due to injury. Eddy played four seasons at St. Cloud State before signing as a free agent with Calgary on March 20, 2012. He immediately reported to Abbotsford, played four games and scored his first professional goal.

Estoclet has played 15 games with the Heat this season recording two assists and eight penalty minutes. The native of Naperville, IL scored five goals and added ten assists in 25 games for the Heat during the 2011-12 campaign. Estoclet signed as a free agent with Calgary on August 1, 2012.

Ferland, a native of Brandon MB has played seven games this season with the Heat. The 6'1', 190lbs left winger was drafted by Calgary in the 5th round (133rd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Ferland is playing in his first professional season following a three year junior career with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL.
