Heat Assign Martin to Alaska

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have assigned defenseman James Martin to the Alaska Aces, the Heat's developmental affiliate in the ECHL.

Martin, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has played in two games with the Heat this season and registered two penalty minutes. Martin has 35 games of AHL experience with the Heat throughout his career and has recorded four points (2-2-4) and 32 penalty minutes.

This weekend the Heat will host the San Antonio Rampage (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th. Friday will feature the annual Teddy Bear Toss, benefitting the Abbotsford Christmas Bureau.
