Adirondack Phantoms News Release
Movember Final Standings
It was a down-to-the-wire finish in our mustache-donation contest with the players. After all the handsome facial decorations had been shaved and all the money from the players' donation cans were counted, we are proud to announced this year's winner:
Rob Bordson snagged the title by a "whisker" over Cal Heeter. Cullen Eddy took the bronze. Congrats to all. It was an exciting race.
It was also a lot of fun. And our players helped us raise hundreds of dollars to benefit the Live Strong Foundation and the C.R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital in the fight against prostate cancer. And with that, we officially have a lot of clean-shaven Phantoms players again. Thanks for the lip-fuzz fun this month, guys!
$10 Tickets on Wild and Wacky Wednesday!!
The promotion was so popular last week, we're doing it again! All tickets for this Wednesday night's game are only 10 Bucks! Get the best available seats in the house. But hurry, at this price the center-ice seats go fast. Tickets for this special $10 promotion are available in advance and also at the box-office on the night of the game. See you Wednesday...for only 10 smackers!! And we'll have $1 Hot Dogs again too. Call the Phantoms: 518-480-3355.
It's Bear Time!
Saturday night features our annual Teddy Bear Toss Night. Remember to bring your stuffed animal donation to benefit needy families via the Salvation Army of Glens Falls. Help make the holidays even brighter for some kids from our own community. Throw your stuffed animal onto the ice after the Phantoms score their first goal. It's going to be raining teddy bears inside the Glens Falls Civic Center this Saturday!
Posters and Autographs
Saturday is also Phantoms Poster Night presented by Glens Falls Printing for the first 2,000 fans. Here's your sneak-peek at this year's poster design. Remember to stay after the game AND bring your posters. The night also features a postgame autograph session with all the players in Heritage Hall. It all happens this Saturday!
Helping a Good Cause
The Phantoms again helped the annual fundraising drive of the National Association of Letter Carriers to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Here they are with Syracuse and Adirondack captains Mike Angelidis and Ben Holmstrom.
Dropping our ceremonial first-pucks Saturday:
Kristin Litwin - Fundraising Coordinator from the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Eastern New York and Vermont.
Jeff Carey - National Association of Letter Carriers Branch #358.
Thanks to both of you for allowing us the opportunity to be part of such a great program!
Heeter's Holiday Plans:
The popular gift packs are going fast. Choose from the Fitzy Frosty Pack, McGinn Mistletoe Pack or Cousins Candy Cane Pack. You receive 4 or 6 ticket vouchers redeemable for any home game you choose plus all sorts of cool Phantooms goodies like an autographed puck, a special Phantoms winter hat or a Phantoms Christmas Mug. And it all comes in a game-worn hockey sock! Order yours: 518-480-3355

25 Terrific Seasons
Glens Falls is celebrating its 25th season hosting an AHL team and in so doing now joins an elite group of just 9 other active markets who can make such a claim. It's a great hockey tradition with an old-school feel that began with the Adirondack Red Wings in 1979. In their 20-year tenure at the Glens Falls Civic Center through 1999, the Red Wings won four Calder Cups. The Adirondack Phantoms began play in Glens Falls in 2009-10 and are in their fifth season bringing exciting AHL action to the North Country.
