Hawks Assign Tavares and Hardaway Jr. to Charge

The Canton Charge, presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, have been assigned C Edy Tavares and G Tim Hardaway, Jr. by the Atlanta Hawks. The assignments are in accordance with the Flexible Assignment Rule.

The duo join Joe Harris (Cavaliers) and Damien Inglis (Bucks) to give Canton four NBA players on assignment for their pair of weekend games. First, the Charge will play the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (Indiana Pacers affiliate) on the road tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. Fans are expected to be able to see all four in action when the Charge return home on Saturday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m. to take on the Iowa Energy (Memphis Grizzlies affiliate).

Tavares and Hardaway Jr. are the 57th and 58th of the 2015-16 campaign and the pair are two of 31 NBA players to have been assigned to the NBA D-League this season. Hardaway Jr. has appeared in four games this season for the Hawks, and Tavares has played in three contests.

Canton will next hit the road for a matchup with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (Indiana Pacers affiliate) on Friday, December 4th at 7:30 p.m. The Charge are back home on Saturday, December 5th to face the Iowa Energy (Memphis Grizzlies affiliate) at 7:00 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, head to www.CantonCharge.com.
