Hawkey's Hot Readers School Visits Scheduled

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat will be making several visits this week as part of "Hawkey's Hot Readers" program presented by HSBC. All visits will be at 1pm and several classes will have a chance to meet the Hawkey, the Heat Mascot.

Tuesday February 23rd - Dave Kandal Elementary

Wednesday February 24th - Harry Sayers Elementary

Thursday February 25th - Sandy Hill Elementary

Friday February 26th - Ten Broeck Elementary

Hawkey will see each classroom for half an hour and a Heat representative will read a story then discuss the importance of reading. Hawkey's Hot Readers program presented by HSBC, teaches children in grades K-5 the importance of reading while sharing in the excitement and enjoyment of a good book.

The Heat continue their lengthy nine game road trip with a game in Bridgeport Wednesday night against the Sound Tigers. They return home for two home dates, March 2nd & 3rd against the Boston Bruins affiliate, Providence Bruins.
