The Manitoba Moose spent Week 21 in a win-lose pattern when they hopped back and forth between Rochester and Toronto. The Moose picked up two victories against Rochester on Feb. 16 & 19 (6-3W & 4-3W) but dropped two losses to Toronto on Feb. 17 & 20 (3-4L & 0-2L). After the four-game road set, the Moose hold fourth spot in the North Division with 62 points.
Tuesday, February 16, 2010: Manitoba 6, Rochester 3 The Manitoba Moose beat the Rochester Americans 6-3 at the Blue Cross Arena on Tuesday night to start their four-game road trip on a winning note. Marco Rosa scored a pair of goals while Dan Sexton, Nolan Baumgartner, Matt Pettinger, Michael Grabner rounded out the scoring. Goaltender Cory Schneider stopped 32 of 35 shots for his 23rd win this season.
Wednesday, February 17, 2010: Manitoba 3, Toronto 4 The Manitoba Moose dropped a 4-3 decision to the Toronto Marlies on Wednesday night in their first meeting at the Ricoh Coliseum this season. The Moose broke onto the scoreboard first, but Toronto scored four-consecutive markers to earn two points over their North Division rival. Michael Grabner, Marco Rosa and Sergei Shirokov all scored for Manitoba while Cory Schneider stopped 29 of 33 attempts.
Friday, February 19, 2010: Manitoba 4, Rochester 3 The Manitoba Moose recorded a 4-3 victory over the Rochester Americans in their last clash this regular season at the Blue Cross Arena on Friday night. Manitoba finished 3-1-0-0 against the Amerks this campaign. Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Dan Sexton, Travis Ramsey and Michael Grabner all potted goals for Manitoba while goaltender Cory Schneider stopped 32 of 35 shots for his 24th win.
Saturday, February 20, 2010: Manitoba 0, Toronto 2 The Manitoba Moose suffered a 2-0 loss to the Toronto Marlies in a matinee performance on Saturday in front of 6,435 spectators at the Ricoh Coliseum. This is the third time the Moose have been shut out by an opponent this season. Goaltender Daren Machesney stopped 30 of 32 shots in his 17th appearance this campaign while Winnipeg native James Reimer stopped all 31 shots for his first AHL shutout.

SHUTDOWN & SHUTOUT: For the third time this season, the Moose were shutout in a 2-0 decision against the Toronto Marlies on Saturday afternoon. The last time Manitoba was shutout by an opponent was back on November 6, 2009 against the Texas Stars (0-4L). Manitoba holds the second lowest goals-for in the North Division with 151. The lowest in the division belong to Toronto with 146 goals after 59 games. In their entire franchise history, the Moose have now been shutout a total of 53 times.
WILD, WILD WEST: The Manitoba Moose will start their three-game set against West Division rivals Thursday night in Houston. They will then play a back-to-back set against the Aeros in San Antonio. So far this season, Manitoba is 10-8-3-0 against their opponents from the West. The last time the antler-squad faced a West Division rival was in a 4-3 shootout victory over San Antonio on February 6, 2010.

The Manitoba Moose are in to close-out their four game regular season series against the Aeros at the Toyota Center on Thursday night. After three clashes this season, the Moose are 1-2-0-0 against their West Division rivals this campaign (0-1-0-0 in Houston). Historically, Manitoba holds a 18-19-0-2 record against the Aeros and a 9-9-0-1 record when playing at the Toyota Centre. Captain Mike Keane leads all Moose skaters with four points (2g & 2a) against the Aeros while Maxim Noreau also leads his club with four points (2g & 2a) against Manitoba. Heading into tonight the Moose are 5-4-1-0 in their last 10 games while the Aeros are 5-5-0-0 in their last 10 matches.

Marco Rosa
For the first time this season, Marco Rosa is nominated for AHL Player of the Week... The centre appeared in all four of Manitoba's games this week on their four-game North Divsion road trip... On February 16th, he collected his second three-point night of the season when he scored two goals and earned an assist... He finished the night with four shots on net with a plus-3 rating... The next night, Rosa extended his points streak to four-consecutive game with a goal in Toronto... He then extended his streak to five-straight games on February 19 when he collected a pair of assists... After Week 21, Rosa leads the team in points (43), goals (19), and assists (24) after 59 games played...
