Havoc to join Elmira for open camp

July 17, 2006 - SPHL (SPHL)
Huntsville Havoc News Release

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach John Gibson announced today the team will join the Elmira Jackals of the United Hockey League for a Professional Hockey Placement Camp on September 1-3 at the First Arena in Elmira, New York.

This camp will replace the Havoc Prospect Camp scheduled for August 4-5 at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware.

"We are very excited to be working with the Elmira Jackals of the United Hockey League on our Prospects Camp," Gibson said. "It gives both coaches an opportunity to see more players and allows the players to showcase their skills to two different leagues. I look to take from this camp some players as well as a working relationship with Elmira to help movement of players back and forth. We take a lot of pride in Huntsville as an organization to see players develop their skills in the SPHL and move on to higher levels. We have a great history of players advancing and we hope to continue that."
