Havoc Sign Veteran Defenseman

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc announced today the signing of veteran defenseman Jarred Mohr.
Mohr (5-11, 185) has spent the past six seasons playing in the Central Hockey League with the Rocky Mountain Rage, Laredo Bucks, Wichita Thunder and Tulsa Oilers. He also spent one season in the ECHL with the Pensacola Ice Pilots and Cincinnati Cyclones.
"We're very excited to have Jarred join the Havoc organization for the upcoming season," head coach Glenn Detulleo said. "Being one of our vets, his experience at higher levels will be very beneficial to our younger players. Jarred's hungry to win a championship so adding him to our locker room gets us one step closer to achieving that. His ultimate goal is to coach when his career has completed, so he will serve as our player assistant coach to gain some valuable experience."
The Regina, Saskatchewan native has scored 31 goals and recorded 118 assists in 414 career regular season games. He has seven assists in 26 post-season games. He spent four seasons on junior hockey in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with the Estevan Bruins and Battleford North Stars where he scored 23 goals and recorded 76 assists in 200 career games.
"I'm excited to join the Havoc organization and play for Glenn and assistant coach Jordan Little," Mohr said. "They both had solid playing careers and have had tremendous success as coaches so far so for me it's going to be a very exciting time. Everything to this point off the ice has been nothing but first-class and my family is very thankful for that. Now let's drop the puck and get after it."
The Havoc open the home schedule on Saturday, November 1 at 7:30 against the Louisiana Ice Gators.
