Havoc shut out RiverKings

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Nick Lazorko was all over the ice for the Huntsville Havoc, as he tallied two goals in Huntsville's 3-0 win over Mississippi RiverKings.

Lazorko scored at 11:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville and again while 8:41 into the third to make the score 3-0 Huntsville.

The Havoc made Mississippi RiverKings' netminders to work all game long, totaling 35 shots and forcing 32 saves. Dan McWhinney made 13 stops and Matthew Krahn made 19. Huntsville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances

Justin Fox also scored for Huntsville. In addition, Huntsville received assists from Justin Cseter, who had two and Derek Foam, Rob Florentino, and Mike Gurtler, who each chipped in one.

Mississippi RiverKings was led by Leo Thomas, who took two shots

Kevin Genoe started for the Havoc and made 15 saves over the first two periods of play. Jesse Kallechy started the third period and stopped all three shots he faced. Huntsville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Mississippi RiverKings incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
