
Havoc Dominates Ice Bears

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Kyle Sheen scored two goals as the Huntsville Havoc moved to 2-0 on the pre-season with a 5-2 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears Monday night.
Tristan Senior, Trevor Karasiewicz and Bobby Siers all scored one goal each for the Havoc. Tim Hockley had two assists while Senior, Karasiewicz, Steve Doherty, Martin Toms, Bill McCreary, Travis Kauffeldt and Brett Cross all had one assist each.
Bobby Joe Pelkey and Jan Skvarka both scored goals and had an assist for the Ice Bears. Matt Lougheed and Phil Cherneski each had one assist.
Matt Carmichael played the first period for the Havoc and stopped three shots. He allowed one powerplay goal. Gasper Kroselj played the second period and stopped nine shots. He allowed one goal on a five-on-three. Stephan Siwiec played the third period and stopped all eight shots he faced.
The teams combined for 145 penalty minutes and each had 11 powerplay chances. Knoxville converted two while Huntsville was successful on one.
The Havoc will open the season in Columbus on Friday night. The home opener is set for November 3rd at 7:30 on CenturyTel Ice at the Von Braun Center.
