
Havoc continues to shuffle roster

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach, John Gibson announced today that team has released defenseman, Mike Utzig, and will sign former NHL player, Jason Simon, early next week.
Simon (6-1, 210) is the cousin of current Havoc, Mike Degruse. He played five games in the NHL with the New York Islanders and Phoenix Coyotes. He has played in 698 career professional games and scored 169 goals and 225 assists. He has 3,683 penalty minutes. He was an 11th round draft pick in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft after playing in 176 games as a junior and scoring 36 goals and 64 assists and acquiring 435 penalty minutes. He is originally from Sarnia Reserve, Ontario.
Utzig had played 42 games for the Havoc this season and scored one goal and had five assists. He also had 102 penalty minutes.
Huntsville will host Columbus tonight at 7:30 at the Von Bruan Center.
