
Havoc Add Veteran Defenseman Schneider

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach Glenn Detulleo announced today that veteran defenseman Nick Schneider has signed with the team. He becomes the first veteran signed by the team this off season.
"We're excited to bring in a veteran like Nick," Detulleo said. "We expect him to contribute for us on both ends of the ice. He'll also be looked upon as a leader on the ice and in the locker room. He's work ethic and professionalism will be a great example for our younger players."
Schneider has played in 323 career games including three with the Havoc in 2012-13 and 32 in Peoria last season. The Maplewood, Minnesota native has scored 12 goals and recorded 73 assists. He spent four seasons at the University of Connecticut from 2005-2009 where he scored six goals and recorded 21 assists. He also played in 98 career junior games and scored 12 goals and recorded 33 assists.
"I'm excited to be returning to Huntsville," Schneider said. "I think we will have a good group of guys on and off the ice, and am looking forward to playing for the awesome fans down in Huntsville. I think we can make something special happen."
The Havoc open the season on the road on October 23rd at Columbus. The home opener on Pharmacy First Ice will be November 10th against Knoxville.
