Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks News Release

MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Danbury hit the road on Friday to take on the New Jersey Titans in Middletown. The Hat Tricks went down 3-1 before tying the game in the third, but New Jersey proved to be too much in the end, winning 6-3.

New Jersey opened the scoring with three seconds remaining in the first period after a flurry of chances on a power-play.

The teams then traded a pair of goals in the final five minutes of the second period, making a 1-0 game into a 3-2 deficit in only three minutes. Mike Salandra netted a highlight-reel goal to open the scoring for Danbury before Jazz Krivtsov buried a slot-shot on an odd-man rush to make the score 3-2.

The Hat Tricks got on the board first in the third period, when Peter Lychnikoff lit the lamp off of a pass from Ben Biester to tie the game up at 10:25 of the third. The eventual game-winner was notched by David Posma at 16:20 of the third period when he unleashed a wrister through traffic that bested Josh Seeley.

Tommy Bannister and Brendan Dumas potted empty-net goals to give the Titans their fifth and sixth goals, bringing the game to the final score of 6-3

Josh Seeley was in net for Danbury and played a solid game in between the pipes. Seeley tallied 37 saves on 41 shots he faced on the night.

These two teams will meet again tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. You can follow along with that game by following the Hat Tricks' various social media channels or by tuning in on HockeyTV.
