Hartford Athletic News Release
Hartford Athletic announced today that there will be a number of new features at Trinity Health Stadium unveiled during the first home game of the 2022 season on Saturday, April 2nd.
One of the newest additions to the stadium is the Connecticut Craft Beer Garden. Located in the south end of the stadium, the Beer Garden will feature beers from seven Connecticut Breweries from all over the state including Alvarium Beer Company (New Britain), Back East Brewing Company (Bloomfield), Counter Weight Brewing Co. (Cheshire), Hog River Brewing Co. (Hartford), New England Brewing Company (Woodbridge), New Park Brewing (West Hartford), and Two Roads Brewing (Stratford).
"The Connecticut Craft Beer Garden is an exciting new addition to our game day experience," said Joe Calafiore, SVP of Marketing and Strategy for Hartford Athletic. "After the great success we had hosting the Small State Great Beer festival last fall, we wanted to deliver a slice of that environment at all of our home matches this season. Supporting our local business community is very important to us, and we're thrilled to have seven of the best breweries in the state on board offering a wide variety of beers for our fans to enjoy."
Among other new beverage options are Baronet Coffee Roasters, who will be selling coffee, espresso and hot chocolate on opening night, and Waypoint Spirits whose canned cocktails will also be available throughout the stadium. Brignole Vineyards will return for another season, selling their wine out of the Brignole Vineyards Cantina.
There will be a variety of new food options including two new food trucks. Stuffed, a food truck from Wooster Street Pizza, will offer loaded tater tots, mac and cheese bites, stuffed fried dough and pizza. They will be attending select matches, as will Rasta Rant, a food truck featuring a menu of Carribbean infused plant-based meals. In addition, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of The Hartford's Junior Fire Marshal program, popcorn will be served in souvenir fire helmet cups.
The new 386 square foot Trinity Health Stadium videoboard will also be unveiled for the first time at a Hartford Athletic match adding to the game entertainment experience. Construction of the board was completed at the conclusion of the 2021 season and fans who attended Small State Great Beer were able to watch their home team in the season finale while sampling local beers.
"We have established a first class game day atmosphere at Trinity Health Stadium, while always working to enhance the fan experience," said Hartford Athletic CEO Jim Burda. "This LED board modernizes the game day experience, and we're very excited to see it in action on Saturday."
Hartford Athletic will also introduce the "GOAL Zone" this season as a new option for group hospitality. Located directly behind the North goal, fans can get closer to the action than ever before while enjoying an all-inclusive buffet.
Hartford Athletic kicks off the 2022 home slate on Saturday, April 2nd at 7 PM at Trinity Health Stadium against Atlanta United 2. Fans interested in tickets should visit hartfordathletic.com/tickets for more information.
