The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Georgia Swarm today announced a three-year partnership with Harrah's Cherokee Casinos that will make the Eastern Band of the Cherokee enterprise a co-presenting sponsor of the Swarm.

In the partnership, Harrah's Cherokee will receive exclusive field naming rights during Georgia's home games; the Swarm's home playing field will now be referred to as "Harrah's Cherokee Casino Field" at Infinite Energy Arena. The Swarm hosts their inaugural home opener this Saturday, Jan. 9 at 7:05 p.m. against the Toronto Rock.

Brooks Robinson, Regional Senior Vice President and General Manager, expressed his excitement for the partnership. "The sport of lacrosse has deep roots with Native American and Cherokee culture, in particular. We look forward to sharing this modern incarnation of the traditional sport with our community and growing together with the Swarm."

The Swarm will feature jersey patches of Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel on the front and back of the team's uniforms. In addition, Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort will be the presenting sponsor of the Swarm's Native American Heritage Night, which will take place during a home game in 2016.

"This partnership is very exciting as we enter our inaugural season in Georgia," Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. "The staff at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort are first-class, and we're thrilled that we'll be working together for the next three seasons. We look forward to introducing our fans to all the great things Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort has to offer and helping grow the sport of lacrosse with the Cherokee people."

This summer, the Swarm will also host a youth lacrosse camp on the Cherokee Indian Reservation with Swarm players.

"Lacrosse is a Native American sport and it's important for our players to be connected with our local reservations," Arlotta added. "We're looking forward to this summer's youth camp on the Cherokee Indian Reservation and building relationships with their community members."

The Georgia Swarm will host its inaugural home opener at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Field at Infinite Energy Arena on Saturday, Jan. 9 against the Toronto Rock for a 7:05 p.m. faceoff.
