Georgia Swarm Fall in Game 1 of Semifinals, Shift Focus to Must-Win Game 2 in Halifax on Saturday

DULUTH, GA - The Georgia Swarm dropped Game 1 of the NLL Semifinals this past Saturday at Gas South Arena, falling behind in the best-of-three series and now facing an elimination scenario as the team travels north for Game 2 against the Halifax Thunderbirds.

Despite a strong push in front of the home crowd in Duluth, the Swarm were unable to secure the opening win of the series, putting Halifax up 1-0 and placing Georgia in a must-win situation heading into Saturday night's matchup.

Game 2 is set for Saturday at 6:00 PM ET in Halifax. A Swarm victory would even the series at 1-1 and force a decisive Game 3. If Georgia is unable to extend the series, their season will come to an end.

Originally scheduled to return to Georgia for a potential Game 3, the National Lacrosse League, along with both organizations and arena partners, confirmed that due to venue availability and accommodation constraints, any necessary Game 3 will now also be played in Halifax on Sunday at 6:00 PM ET.

The winner of the semifinal series will advance to the NLL Finals, where they will face either the Toronto Rock or San Diego Seals. That matchup concludes with Game 3 scheduled in Toronto at 7:00 PM ET. The NLL Finals are set to begin on May 15.

The Swarm now turn their attention to a win-or-go-home road test as it looks to extend their postseason run and keep championship hopes alive.
