July 5, 2015 - West Coast League (WCL)
Victoria HabourCats News Release
The Victoria HarbourCats will be glad to be on Island soil once again after dropping all three games of a series in the home of the Oregon State Beavers on the weekend.
After falling 4-2 in 17 innings on Friday to the Corvallis Knights, the HarbourCats dropped a pair of 4-2 games -- Saturday, Sunday matchups -- and falling to 8-16 on the season.
The HarbourCats will host the Kitsap BlueJackets on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, all 6:35pm starts at Sports Traders Diamond at RAP.
There were bright spots on Sunday as Kevin Collard hit his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot in the sixth, and starter Henry Omana was solid in going five innings, giving up seven hits and three earned runs while fanning four. AJ Alcantara was also 3-4, but didn't figure in the scoring with no runs or RBIs.
Austin Dondanville gets the start on the mound on Monday, and on Tuesday (Rotary Day at the Park, presented by Black Press) it's Jonathan Buckley making his HarbourCats debut. Matt Blais will take the ball on Wednesday on a night the HarbourCats will welcome delegates to the BC Elders Conference to Sports Traders Diamond.
