EASTLAKE, OH - The Bowling Green Hot Rods won their 10th game in a row for the second time this season, defeating the Lake County Captains 5-1. All six runs in the game were scored on home runs.

The Hot Rods got things started in the second inning when DH Devin Davis hit a two run home run to put the Hot Rods on top.

The Captains responded in the third inning when SS Tyler Friis hit a solo home run of his own to cut the Hot Rods lead to one.

C Ronaldo Hernandez brought the lead back to two runs with a solo home run in the top of the fourth. Hernandez was also responsible for the final two runs of the game with a two run home run in the sixth to put the Hot Rods up 5-1.

RHP Tobias Myers got the start for Bowling Green and threw six innings and allowed just the one run on five hits, two walks, and five strikeouts. He picked up his eighth win of the season which leads the Hot Rods.

RHP Phoenix Sanders pitched the final two innings of the game and allowed just one HIT and struck out two.

The Hot Rods close out the first half tomorrow afternoon at 4:00pm Eastern time. They will send LHP Resly Linares (0-1, 6.50), while the Captains will counter with LHP Francisco Perez (4-3, 3.96).
