
Hammond Rollers to hold mini-basketball and reading camp

Hammond, IN. Denise Pulphus, owner of the ABA Hammond Rollers, today announced the establishment of a Read & Score Foundation and the team's first Mini-Basketball and Reading Camp. According to Ms. Pulphus, "Our objective is to combine the joy of reading and basketball and to give kids some fun time doing both. The Mini-Basketball and Reading Camp is the first in a series of events that will focus on improving basketball skills and reading skills. Former NBA players will be on hand to assist in the camp."
The camp will be held at the Indiana State Armory, 2530 173rd Street in Hammond, Indiana on June 19th, 21st, 26th, 28th and July 5th and 6th. Ages 5-9 will be from 8-12noon, Ages 10-14 from 1-4pm.
The Camp Fee will be $100.00 which will include the Camp fee, a t-shirt, official ABA ball and a certificate. And Ms. Pulphus added, "All campers will receive new reading material each day of the camp. Please register soon as space is limited." The camps are being sponsored by Quadiac Records, Inc., Lifeforce International and the Hammond Rollers.
