Palm Beach Imperials News Release
Melbourne, FL. The ABA Palm Beach Imperials will play an exhibition game against the Brevard Blue Ducks featuring boxing legend Roy Jones, Jr. on Thursday night. "We're very excited about this," commented Blue Ducks' team owner Mike Richman. "The ABA's a great league. They have more teams than any other league in the U.S. and we really wanted to get involved with them and bring at least one of their teams over this year."
Ducks head coach, Brian Rowsom, knows a thing or two about the ABA. He coached both the Carolina Thunder and the Charlotte Krunk while in the ABA. Last year, Rowsom was named "2005 Coach ABA Coach of the Year." "It's a great league with a lot of depth and talent," remarked Rowsom. "I'm looking forward to facing the Imperials."
Game time is 7:00PM. Half-price tickets ($5.00) are available in advance by calling 321 751 BLUE or ordering through the Blue Ducks website at www.brevardblueducks.com. Or fans can purchase tickets at the Clemente Center box office at 150 W. University Avenue in Melbourne, FL starting an hour before game time. Tickets are $10.00 the night of the game, but can be purchased for half-price with Blue Ducks schedule/coupons found throughout Brevard (see website for details) and in many area publications.
