June 7, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Question from Bert L, Denver CO: "Why is it so tough to get an ABA team in Colorado? You seem to be able to get teams everywhere else?"
Answer: Thanks for the question. You are probably as frustrated as we are. While we do get inquiries for teams in Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo as well as Boulder and Grand Junction, we have not been able to finalize an ABA team in any of those cities. Having a team in Colorado is a goal and we are working diligently on accomplishing it. We know that an ABA team would do well in any of those cities because fans will enjoy the exciting style of ABA basketball and entertainment at affordable prices. So, hang in there Bert. We'll get it done. And your interest is greatly appreciated. If you have a question, email joenewman@abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
