HAMILTON, ON - Corey Locke tied a franchise record with six points (3-3-6) and the Hamilton Bulldogs scored seven unanswered goals to down the Rochester Americans 8-4 on Wednesday night at Copps Coliseum. The ‘Dogs also erased Amerks' leads of 2-0 and 4-1 to earn their third-straight win and improve their record to 35-32-3-7 on the season.

Rochester jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. At 4:22, Jordan Henry notched his second marker of the campaign to open the scoring. Clarke MacArthur then fed Stefan Meyer in the slot who potted his 21st goal of the season at the 11:08 mark to give the Americans a two-goal cushion.

The Bulldogs cut the lead in half at 15:40 of the first stanza when Locke one-timed a pass from Matt D'Agostini into the back of the Americans' net. Brock Trotter also earned an assist on Locke's 26th goal of the campaign.

Rochester restored their two-goal lead at 16:46 of the opening period when Martin Lojek's shot from the blue line beat Hamilton goaltender Cedrick Desjardins to make the score 3-1. Brady Calla and Drew Larman drew the helpers on Lojek's sixth marker of the season.

At 5:20 of the second frame, MacArthur notched a power-play marker to give the Amerks a 4-1 lead. Meyer and Marc-Andre Gragnani earned assists on MacArthur's 14th goal of the campaign.

With seven-straight goals throughout the remainder of the game, the Bulldogs went on to post an 8-4 win.

Hamilton cut into Rochester's lead with two goals just 1:28 apart in the middle stanza. Jonathan Ferland potted his 14th tally of the season at 12:59 on the power play to make the score 4-2. Then at 14:27, Ajay Baines slid a backhander by Amerks' netminder Adam Dennis for his sixth goal of the campaign. J.T. Wyman picked up his first-career American Hockey League point with an assist on the 4-3 goal.

The ‘Dogs drew even 3:14 into the final frame when a streaking Ferland fired a wrist shot from the sideboards that beat Dennis. Brett Engelhardt and Conrad Martin assisted on Ferland's 15th marker of the season.

Mathieu Biron gave the Bulldogs their first lead of the game at 5-4 when his slap shot from the point found its way into the Americans net. The goal was scored on the power play at 8:06 of the third period and was assisted by Locke and Marvin Degon.

Hamilton added three more goals in the final 3:14 of the game to round out the scoring. Locke scored twice (16:46, 18:34) with the second of the two goals scored into an empty net, while Engelhardt posted his 13th tally of the campaign at the 18:58 mark.

Locke's six points ties a franchise record set by Chad Hinz who notched a goal and five assists on December 8th, 2002 in a 15-1 win over the Cleveland Barons. It was also the first time in Locke's hockey career (Junior and Professional) that he posted six points in a game.
