Hamilton Bulldogs Announce Training Camp Schedule

HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs President and Governor Glenn Stanford announced today the club's full nine-day training camp schedule. The team's 13th training camp, which will be held at Mile One Centre and Feildian Gardens in St. John's, Newfoundland, will commence on Tuesday, September 30th and conclude on Sunday, October 5th.
Hamilton (AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will play host to the American Hockey League's two other Canadian-based clubs, the Manitoba Moose (AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks) and the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs), in a round-robin tournament beginning on Wednesday, October 1st. The top two teams from the round-robin tournament will play on Sunday, October 5th for the Iceberg Cup at Mile One Centre. All Bulldogs pre-season games can be heard LIVE on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, TALK 820 (820 AM) and online at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com beginning with a pre-game show five minutes before the game's scheduled start time.

The Hamilton Bulldogs are scheduled to open their 13th AHL season at MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Friday, October 10th, when they will meet the Manitoba Moose in the first of back-to-back games between the North Division rivals. The 'Dogs 2008-2009 home opener will take place Friday, October 17th, when they battle the Hartford Wolf Pack at Copps Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. All 80 Hamilton Bulldogs regular season games will be broadcast on TALK 820. Every Bulldogs regular season and post-season broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to puck drop.
