
Moose Training Camp Opens Friday

The Manitoba Moose are pleased to remind the media their 2008 Training Camp to kick off their 13th season opens tomorrow with medicals and physicals at the MTS Centre, followed by an open-ice session at 1:30 p.m. The team will then begin formal on-ice sessions on Saturday, September 27th at the Gateway Recreation Centre before moving to Dutton Arena for a pair of sessions on the morning of Sunday, September 28th. That afternoon's intra-squad game however will then return to Gateway Recreation Centre at 2:30 p.m. Then on Monday, September 29th, training camp returns to the MTS Centre. Each day will consist of two different groups practicing in two different on-ice sessions in the morning beginning at 9:00 a.m.. Both sides will then participate in intra-squad games each day at 2:30 p.m.
This season, the Moose will head to St. John's, Newfoundland for a pre-season tournament against the Toronto Marlies and Hamilton Bulldogs from Thursday, October 2nd to Sunday, October 5th at Mile One Centre in St. John's. Prior to that, the Moose will also once again play the University of Manitoba Bisons in a "prospects" game to be played at the T.G. Smith Center in Steinbach, MB. on Tuesday, September 30th at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Following the exhibition games in St. John's, the Moose will return home to resume daily practices until the season opener on Friday, October 10th versus the Hamilton Bulldogs at the MTS Centre at 7:30 p.m.
