Halman leads AquaSox offense to 14-10 win

EVERETT - Everett AquaSox centerfielder Greg Halman led the charge going 3-for-4 with two homeruns, three RBI, and four runs scored as the Frogs defeated the Boise Hawks 14-10. Third baseman Leury Bonilla went 2-for-5 with two homers and three RBI, while first baseman Manelik Pimentel went 1-for-4 with a homerun and three runs scored. Newcomer, second baseman Marcos Villezcas, went 0-for-2, but was on three times and scored a run. Starter Drew Fiorenza went three innings, giving up no runs on three hits, walked one and struck out one. Reliever Justin Souza picked up his first win, pitching two innings and gave up no runs on only two hits. Reliever Doug Fister pitched 1/3 of an inning for his second save.

Boise designated hitter Josh Lansford went 5-for-6 with a RBI and two runs scored, while left fielder Tyler Colvin went 3-for-6 with 3 RBI and a run scored. Reliever Brad Clipp slowed Everett down, giving up one run on one hit in two innings of work.

Thursday is United Way Volunteer Appreciation Night at Everett Memorial Stadium. There is going to be a Shirt off Our Back Silent Auction benefiting the United Way of Snohomish County during the fourth game of the five game series. Bid on your favorite AquaSox jersey during the game. The highest bid will get to go on the field after the game and get their jersey signed by the player. The gates open at 6pm with the first pitch at 7:05pm.
