
Halifax Hurricanes Defeat Windsor Express

Halifax, (NS) - The Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club were in action April 16th at the WFCU Centre against the Windsor Express. The Hurricanes defeated the Express 103-96. The Hurricanes now have a record of 25-9, leading the Atlantic Conference and the league in wins.
Hurricanes led the Express 32-27 after the first quarter, Windsor outscored Halifax 13-22 in the second quarter and at halftime the Hurricanes trailed the Express 45-49. The Hurricanes outscored the Express 31-23 in the third quarter, and in the fourth quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Express 27-24, enough to earn a victory over the Express 103-96.
Forward, Billy White scored 24 points for the Hurricanes. Guard, Cliff Clinkscales scored 18 and had 11 assists. Guard, Shane Gibson 16 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 14 points. Center, Kyle Hunt scored 8 points.
Forward, Chris Commons scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Forward, Brandon Robinson scored 24 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Guard, Tony Bennett scored 20 points. Guard, Billy Rush scored 8 points.
The Hurricanes have 2 games left on the road trip, they play the Moncton Miracles on the 21st and the Island Storm on 23rd. Hurricanes will play their last home game on Sunday 24th at the Scotiabank Centre.
