Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Waterloo, Iowa- Currently tied for the lead in the United States Hockey League Western Conference, the Waterloo Black Hawks try to cruise to sole possession of first place Friday against the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Top Gun Night.
The iconic 1980's film was released 30 years ago. As the Hawks welcome their Highway 20 rivals to the danger zone known as Young Arena, early-arriving fans can claim a complimentary pair of Black Hawks aviator sunglasses ahead of the 7:05 opening faceoff. Those on hand surely will not lose that lovin' feeling for the home team, with movie-themed intermission- and in-game contests, as well as a variety of other special activities:
-The Subway Family Four Pack will be available for the first time this season on Friday, including four white zone game tickets, four Subway 6" combo vouchers (including the sandwich of your choice, chips, and a beverage), four Chuck-A-Pucks, and two One-Timer game programs. Limited quantities are available for each game. The offer provides $100 in value at more than a 50% savings.
-The Hawks will take the ice in pink breast cancer awareness jerseys, sponsored by Great Clips. After the game, the seaters will be auctioned, with profits contributed to Beyond Pink TEAM to benefit cancer patients and survivors in the Cedar Valley.
-Friday's game is also the first matchup of the season which will count toward the DUPACO Cowbell Cup Series, which factors in the results of head-to-head games between the Black Hawks, Fighting Saints, and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Waterloo is seeking to win the DUPACO Cowbell Cup for the first time since 2013/14.
-Enjoy great hockey and baseball at the same time. Make your way to the Coors Light Cold Zone on the Young Arena concourse for Game Three of the Fall Classic. Try any of several Chicago-themed drink specials throughout the game.
-If the Black Hawks score twice on Friday, show your ticket at Waterloo's Chick-fil-A location for a free chicken sandwich. It's one of several ways to get even more value from your Black Hawks ticket.
Bring your wingman to Party Town Friday; tickets are on sale now from waterlooblackhawks.com or by calling the Domino's Black Hawks Box Office at (319) 291-7680.
