Guertin Decides Game in Overtime

Montreal, Quebec - In a highly anticipated game, the Drummondville Voltigeurs were in Montreal to play against the Juniors, the former winning by a score of 3-2 in overtime.

Louis Leblanc opened the scoring in the final moments of the first period, notching his 26th of the season, with Viktor Hertzberg and Trevor Parkes picking up the assists. The next goal would have to wait until the third period, coming off the stick of Jeremy Gouchie, his 19th of the season, scored on the power play. Drummondville forward Ondrej Palat would then reply for his team with his 36th and 37th of the season, effectively sending the game to overtime.

After a dangerous Montreal power play, Drummondville forward Mathieu Guertin scored his 12th of the season with an accurate top corner shot.

Domenic Graham, Drummondville's man between the pipes, turned away 26 of 28 shots, while Montreal's masked man Jean-François Bérubé stopped 32 of 35 shots. Jean-François Bérubé (MTL), Louis Leblanc (MTL) and Ondrej Palat (DRU) were respectively named first, second and third star of the game.

The Juniors will be in action again this weekend, as the Baie-Comeau Drakkar will be in town on Sunday, March 11th at 3:05pm.
