
Wildcats Complete 8 Game Sweep of Screaming Eagles

The Wildcat complete their 8 game sweep of the Screaming Eagles tonight at Centre 200 with a convincing 4-2 victory over Cape Breton.
Logan Shaw scored 2 for the Screaming Eagles as Marek Hrivik grabbed 2 goals, while Allain Saulnier, and Daniel Pettersson notched the others for the Wildcats.
Logan Shaw scored the first goal of the game for Cape Breton at the 9min10s mark of the first period.
Marek Hrivik ties the game up on an assist from Devon MacAusland at 10:01.
Into the second period Alain Saulnier scored Moncton's second on a powerplay goal from his brother and Marek Hrivik, however Logan Shaw came back for Cape Breton to tie the game at 2.
A delayed high sticking penalty to Allain Saulnier was called in unison with a similar call from William Cochrane at 1min46s into the 3rd period.
An attempt to clear the puck from the Wildcats zone resulted in some shattered glass, causing a delay in the game.
Mario Durocher called a quick time-out and pulled the goalie as an attempt to tie the game up with 1min55s to go in the game; however Marek Hrivik had other plans and put the puck into the net to make the score 4-2. Thibeau hung on for the win, facing 20 shots this game.
Moncton temporarily put themselves into 9th position in the league heading into Sundays game in PEI.
