Guenther Named Voice of the Everblades

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades Vice President of Sales & Marketing Mark Miller announced today that Dan Guenther will handle the Florida Everblades play-by-play broadcasting and will become the new "Voice of the Everblades" next season.
Miller, who was the voice of the team during their first five seasons, recently stepped out of the broadcast booth to become Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the team. Mark will continue to handle the television play-by-play next season but will miss calling the games on the radio, "It has been a tremendous honor to have been the voice of the Everblades for the last five seasons. The Everblades fans are bar none the best in the ECHL, if not all of minor league sports. Craig Brush has given me a great opportunity to advance my career in my new position as VP of Sales and Marketing. I will miss calling the games, but I am positive that Dan Guenther will do a great job as the new radio voice of the Everblades."
Guenther has been with the Everblades for the past two seasons as their Public Relations Manager. As PR manager he oversees the team's media relations, all publications and a myriad of other duties and has now added the broadcasting responsibilities. Prior to joining the Everblades, Guenther was the Public Relations Manager for the Orlando Solar Bears (IHL). The Solar Bears captured the 2001 Turner Cup championship prior to the IHL and the Solar Bears ceasing operations in June 2001. Guenther, who originally hails from Elm Grove, Wisconsin, earned a BS in Communications at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he also played four years of collegiate ice hockey from 1996-00.
In related news, the Everblades have signed a new 3-year advertising and broadcasting agreement with Beasley Broadcasting. The Everblades flagship station Sportsradio 770AM will once again carry Florida's regular season games.
