ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the East Coast Hockey League dropped Game Six of the Northern Conference Finals in a 4-3 loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones. The series is now tied at three games apiece.
Cyclones' Ryan Gaucher opened scoring three minutes, one second into the first frame. The Bullies managed to keep it close when Kevin Colley netted his eighth goal of the playoffs on a power play one minute, 31 seconds after Cincinnati got on the board.
Mike Casselman gave the Cyclones a one-goal lead after one period of play on the man-advantage with 3:25 left in the stanza. Nick Bootland sealed Cincinnati's victory with an unassisted even-strength goals at 12:49 of the second and his second goal of the night and 10th postseason tally at 6:26 of the third period.
Rookies Jim Henkel and Jade Galbraith scored the other Bullies goals and each finished the game two points on a goal and an assist. Netminder Matt Yeats allowed three goals and stopped 10 shots in 32 minutes, 49 seconds of play before being pulled in favor of Scott Stirling who gave up the game winner to Bootland and took the loss in goal and made 12 saves.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the East Coast Hockey League defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones in a nail-biting 3-2 victory to capture the 2003 Kelly Cup Playoffs Northern Conference championship. Atlantic City won the best-of-seven series, four games to three.
Captain Stefan Rivard netted the game winner at 10:05 of the third period, electrifying the crowd of Bullies fans at Boardwalk Hall.
J.F. Caudron opened scoring with a power-play goal four minutes, 19 seconds into the first period. Cincinnati answered when Steve Rodberg netted a goal on the man-advantage before Scott Matzka scored the go-ahead goal to put the Bullies up by one after one period of play.
The pesky Cyclones tied the game with just one minute, 29 seconds left in the second period on Brent Twordik's power-play goal, but Rivard accounted for the heroics to help the Bullies advance to the final round of this year's playoffs.
Netminder Scott Stirling stopped 22 Cincinnati shots in the win, earning the third star of the game. Matzka was named the second star for his persistent play and Rivard topped the chart with his thriller set up by defenseman Kirk Furey.

BULLIES AND SURF TEAM UP FOR GREAT ATLANTIC CITY SPORTS WEEKEND
The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and the Atlantic City Surf of the Atlantic League have teamed up to celebrate "Great Atlantic City Sports Weekend," scheduled for Friday, May 9 to Monday, May 12, as proclaimed by Lorenzo Langford, Mayor of Atlantic City.
Fans are encouraged to support both teams as the Surf gear up for its sixth season and the Bullies pursue the Kelly Cup title in just the second year of the team's existence.
The teams are offering several ticket promotions for this weekend's events. Fans may purchase a Bulles ticket for Saturday's game against the Columbia Inferno for just $5 at the Boardwalk Hall Box Office with a ticket stub from Friday's Surf game. Fans can then bring their Bullies ticket to the Surf game on Sunday and will receive a buy one, get one free ticket in the upper box. To top it off, fans may bring any Surf ticket from the weekend to the Boardwalk Hall Box Office and receive a $5 ticket to Monday's Bullies game.
