Green Bay, Wis. - The Green Bay Bullfrogs and Wisconsin Rapids Rafters finished their two-game, home-and-home series at Joannes Stadium on Sunday in extra innings. With the game tied at four in the eleventh inning, Franco Guardascione (Palm Beach State College) hit a walk-off single that scored Paul Jacobson (South Dakota State) to give Green Bay a 5-4 win and a two-game sweep of the Rafters.

In the eleventh inning, the first two batters reached base for the Bullfrogs. Jacobson led the inning off with a single and stole second base before Ivan Vieitez (Lenoir-Rhyne) walked. After Matthew de la Rosa (Lenoir-Rhyne) moved everybody up ninety feet with a sacrifice bunt, Guardascione hit a single past a drawn-in Rafters infield to score Jacobson and end the game.

Dan Becks (St. Edwards) threw two scoreless innings of relief to pick up his second win of the season for Green Bay.

Jeremy Kravetz (Kansas) gave up the hit to Guardascione and took the loss for the Rafters on Sunday. The final run of the game was charged to Wisconsin Rapids' Nolan Blackwood (Memphis).

Before extra innings, Wisconsin Rapids tied the game at four in the eighth inning. Ricky Ramirez (Illinois-Chicago) started the inning with a double before advancing to third base on a ground out. Nick Unes (UW-Milwaukee) then hit an RBI double that scored Ramirez and tied the game up at four and sent it to extra innings.

Before the game became tied in the eighth inning, Wisconsin Rapids pulled ahead in the top of the sixth inning by scoring two runs. Shawn Hagarty (Lindenwood) had an RBI single in the inning before Zach Domingues (Long Beach State) gave Wisconsin Rapids a 3-2 lead with an RBI sacrifice fly

Green Bay responded with two runs to take the lead right back in the bottom half of the sixth inning. Matt Beaty (Belmont) started the inning with a double before advancing to third on a sacrifice bunt from Jacobson. Vieitez then came to the plate and scored Beaty with an RBI single that tied the game at three.

After Vieitez moved up to second base on a balk, Nico Zych (Tennessee-Martin) came through with his second RBI single of the game to plate Vieitez and give Green Bay the lead at 4-3 after six innings of play.

Green Bay also scored the first two runs of the game with both of those runs coming in the second inning. Jacobson started the inning with a single and came all the way around to score on a Vieitez RBI triple. Vieitez then scored on Zych's first RBI single of the game that put the Bullfrogs ahead, 2-0.

Jacobson, Vieitez, Beaty, and Zych all recorded two hits each for the Bullfrogs on Sunday.

Corey Fischer (Madison College) started on the mound for the Bullfrogs on Sunday. Fischer earned a no decision after throwing five and one-third innings, surrendering three runs on six hits while striking out six.

The Bullfrogs will now head back on the road for a two-game series over three days with the Kenosha Kingfish. The two teams will play Monday and Wednesday with an off day on Tuesday for the Big League Dreams Showcase. First pitch on Monday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from Kenosha, Wisconsin.
