Guadagnolo Lands with Spitfires
October 26, 2005 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release
Ottawa 67's Head Coach and General Manager Brian Kilrea has pulled the trigger on a deal that sends disgruntled 19 year old goalie Anthony Guadagnolo and the rights to Adam Sponseller to the Windsor Spitfires. The two teams also exchanged picks in the 2006 CHL Import Draft.
A native of Markham, ON, Guadagnolo has not yet seen regular season action in the 2005-2006 season but has been steady when called upon throughout the past couple of seasons for the Ottawa 67's. In 34 appearances last season, Guadagnolo played 1752 minutes with a Goals Against Average of 3.29 and a 0.913 Save Percentage.
Adam Sponseller was the Ottawa 67's 4th Round Pick (72 overall) in the 2005 OHL Priority Selection, but was sent home to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to continue his development shortly after the season began.
