Greenville Grrrowl News Release
GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Grrrowl are offering the first-ever GRRROWL YOUTH HOCKEY CAMP, to take place at the BI-LO Center July 13-17. Children ranging from the house-league level to travel-team players will participate in the camp, which will be run by Greenville Head Coach JOHN MARKS and General Manager RYAN STEWART.
"The Grrrowl organization is excited about the youth hockey camp," said Greenville General Manager Ryan Stewart. "The grass roots of hockey is starting to grow in the South, and it's exciting for us to be a part of it. The game of hockey is contagious. John and I would like to offer these kids a unique perspective to the sport. We want to teach them the skills and principles of hockey, while giving them the ultimate Greenville Grrrowl experience."
That experience will include the opportunity for players to dress in the official Grrrowl locker rooms, sit on the Grrrowl player benches, and climb over the boards onto the 200 x 85-foot BI-LO Center ice-surface. The Grrrowl Youth Hockey Camp will be the largest hockey camp ever held in Greenville. A total of 55 players have already signed up, leaving only a few remaining spots.
The camp will be split into two groups of players: House-league players and Travel-league players. The house-league players will skate from 9 a.m. till 12 p.m., while the travel-league players will hit the ice from 1-4 p.m. Grrrowl Youth Hockey Camp jerseys, sponsored by Piedmont Neurosurgical Group, Golden Strip Sunrise Rotary Club, and Certified Indoor Air, will be provided for every player.
