Grizzlies Winter Fest to be Held December 10th and 11th

The Gateway Grizzlies are ringing in the holiday season with the return of a holiday tradition! For the ninth consecutive year, the Grizzlies will hold their annual holiday sale in Izzy's Den, the Grizzlies team store inside GCS Ballpark.
The Grizzlies Winter Fest will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 10 with great deals on Grizzlies merchandise plus the release of the 2011 10-game mini-plans. The store will remain open until 6:00 p.m. for fans and holiday shoppers with blowout prices ranging from 10-50% off. Great deals will be available for new mini-plan purchases also.
There is a twist for the 2010 Grizzlies Winter Fest. It runs for two days instead of just one!
On Saturday, December 11, Izzy's Den will reopen its doors at 9:00 a.m. and we'll do it all over again until 1:00 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to visit and get your picture taken with Santa Claus on both days. Santa will be at GCS Ballpark from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the 10th and 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the 11th.
There will be a $1.00 charge for pictures with Santa Claus. All proceeds from the pictures will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The Grizzlies are once again teaming up with the Cahokia Community Basket and will accept donations of new or gently used toys and canned food goods.
Along with photo opportunities with Santa Claus, Izzy the Grizzlie will be on hand for pictures, there will be an arts and crafts table for children to create their own ornaments, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows.
Lastly, Grizzlies Manager Phil Warren and his staff will open the doors to the Grizzlies Baseball Academy on Saturday the 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for an open house party. Fans will be able to receive instruction along with taking some swings on the Pro Batter PX2 virtual pitching machine.
The Grizzlies open their 11th season in the Frontier League in May of 2011. Season Ticket plans are currently on sale by calling the GCS Ballpark Box Office at 618.337.3000.
