
Grizzlies Win in 12th

Horace Lawrence's home run in the bottom of the 12th inning sent a crowd of 3,578 home happy as the Grizzlies beat the Kenosha Mammoths 6-5 at GMC Stadium. The Grizzlies improve to 15-9. Kenosha falls to 11-14.
The Grizzlies trailed 5-2 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning. They scored three runs thanks to an RBI single by Phil Warren and a two-run single by Tony Coyne that tied it and sent the game to extras.
Nick Plancich got the win in releif. Plancich pitched the top half of the 12th, allowing just one hit. The Grizzlies bullpen of Michael Golden, Dan Smith and Plancich pitched six scoreless innings, and gave up just two hits.
Lawrence was just one-for-six on the night with the home run. Coyne was two-for-six with the two RBIs. Warren was two-for-five.
The Grizzlies and Mammoths will continue the series with a 7:05 game Wednesday at GMC Stadium.
