Second Round Bound?
Utah needs to win in Colorado Tuesday or Wednesday in order to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals for the second consecutive season.
Game 6's
Utah is 2-0 in their two game 6s of a series in the ECHL; defeating Idaho 3-0 last year to advance to the second round and winning in Fresno April 20, 2008 to also advance to the second round. Utah is 3-1 all-time in game 6 of a playoff series and has played only one game seven in the 22 season team history.
The League
Three of the four series in the Western Conference are going to a sixth game; including the Cincinnati/Fort Wayne series that is currently led 3-2 by Cincinnati. The winner of Utah/Colorado will play the winner of Fort Wayne/Cincinnati. Idaho leads Allen three games to two as that series reverts back to Dallas. The lower seed in the West leads each current series 3-2, as the road teams all have two chances to win one game. In total, five of the eight first round series in the ECHL are requiring at least a sixth game.
Skaters
16 of Utah's 17 skaters that have played in the series have at least two points. The Grizzlies have gotten at least one goal from 14 of their 17 skaters in the first five games. Six players are averaging at least a point a game in the series in Charlie Sarault (four goals, two assists), Ryan Hayes (two goals, three assists), Matt Berry (two goals, three assists), Barry Almeida (one goal, four assists), Bryan Moore (one goal, four assists) and Marc Cantin (one goal, four assists).
In Goal
Ryan Faragher's playoff numbers are slightly ahead of his regular season pace with a 2.21 Goals-Against-Average and a .921 Save Percentage while going 2-1-1-0. He had a 2.33 Goals-Against-Average and a .918 Save Percentage during the regular season while going 24-13-2-2.
