Published on April 25, 2016 under ECHL (ECHL) News Release
PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Monday announced that Allen's Vincent Arseneau has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #F-5, Allen at Idaho, on April 23.
Arseneau is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his match penalty for an illegal check to the head at 6:06 of the third period. Arseneau targeted the head of an opponent, making contact to the head area with his stick.
Arseneau will miss Allen's playoff game against Idaho on April 26. If Allen wins, he will also miss Game 7 of the series on April 27. In the event Idaho wins Game 6, Arseneau will serve the final game of his suspension next season.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
