June 8, 2005 - United Indoor Football Association (UIF)
Ohio Valley Greyhounds News Release
The Ohio Valley Greyhounds are pleased to announce the signing of running back Jay Bailey (6-0,205) of Austin Peay. Bailey led all of Division I-AA football in rushing in 2002 with 1,687 yards rushing and scored eighteen touchdowns. Bailey posted four 200-yard rushing games that season including a season high 213 yards versus Moorehead State. During that season Bailey totaled 2,153 all-purpose yards including 381 yards in kickoff stripes and 85 yards receiving. For his accomplishments Bailey earned first team All-America Honors. Bailey was also a standout in the classroom earning academic All-America status.
Bailey will be counted upon to fill a role left open by an injury to Troy Albea who is questionable for this week and fullback Terrance Glover who is probable for Saturday night's contest at Tennessee Valley.
The Greyhounds return to the practice field tonight at Wesbanco Arena. As always the session is open to all local media and fans.
