
Week 12 Player-of-the-Week Awards Announced

Omaha, NE â Gunn, Pryor, and Reese lead charge in Week 12 Player-of-the-Week awards. United Indoor Football is proud to announce Players-of-the-Week awards for Week 12 of the 2005 season. Weekly awards are presented in three categories: Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.
Week 12 offensive player of the week was Tennessee Valley quarterback Chris Gunn. Gunn, a Tuscumbia, Alabama native and UNA graduate, passed for 134 yards in the Raptors 29-22 victory over the Evansville Bluecats last Saturday. The 5'11", 200 pound Gunn completed 11 of 15 passes, including a 27-yard touchdown strike, and did not throw an interception. Gunn and the Raptors entertain the Ohio Valley Greyhounds next Saturday, June 11, 2005.
Peoria linebacker Antonio Pryor claims the Defensive Player-of-the-Week award in Week 12. The 6'1", 240 pound Pryor recorded seven solo tackles and four tackle assists, including three tackles for a loss in the Rough Riders 22-23 road loss to Ohio Valley last Saturday. Pryor, an Indiana State graduate, helped keep the Greyhounds offense in check. Pryor and the Rough Riders host the Sioux City Bandits next Friday, June 10.
Wrapping up the Week 12 awards in the Special Teams category is Fort Wayne kick returner/wide receiver Adrian Reese. Reese returned five kicks for a total of 121 yards. The 5'9", 180 pound Fort Wayne native and Ball State graduate returned one kick 47 yards, which turned out to be a huge play in the 42-40 Freedom victory over the Omaha Beef last Saturday. Reese and the Freedom will travel to Omaha for a re-match on Saturday, June 11.
