Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - JD Greenway has announced his commitment to the University of Maine. Greenway, a rugged defenseman who leads the Dubuque Fighting Saints in points this season, made the announcement Tuesday morning.

"We're really happy that JD found a fit with Maine," head coach Oliver David said. "These are the good days in our business when hard work gets rewarded. On a personal note it's been great to coach a player of JD's caliber and he's been a pleasure to be. To see a smile on his face is awesome."

Greenway started off slowly, but quickly figured things out at the USHL level. He sits at 11 points through Dubuque's first 17 games. Greenway recently had a six game point streak snapped, the longest by any Fighting Saint this season. Greenway says he is excited to begin the next chapter at Maine.

"Maine is a great organization with fantastic coaches and I feel like they are up and coming as well," Greenway said. "In Dubuque I feel like I have developed as a player and a person and I'm ready to get started in the NCAA again and be the best player I can be at Maine."

Greenway becomes the fourth Fighting Saint and second defenseman on the team to announce his commitment to a college during the 2018-19 season.
