HICKORY, NC - After the Hickory Crawdads tied the game with two runs in the eighth, the Augusta GreenJackets came back with four runs in the ninth to take the 8-4 win, before 2,442 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium on Friday night.

The GreenJackets (13-22) struck first with a two-out rally against RHP Matt Thompson in the top of the third. With two on and two out, 3B Adam Duvall hit a three-run homer over the right field wall, lifting the GreenJackets in front, 3-0.

After Augusta added a fourth run on an RBI single by LF Rafael Rodriguez in the top of the fourth, the Crawdads (20-14) got on the board against LHP Mike Kickham in the bottom of the frame. SS Jurickson Profar led off with a double and quickly took third on a passed ball charged to Augusta C Jeff Arnold. One out later, C Tomas Telis came through with an RBI single to plate Profar and cut the deficit to 4-1.

Hickory edged closer with an RBI single by 1B Jhonny Gomez in the seventh before coming all the way back with a pair of runs in the eighth. Augusta RHP Jacob Dunnington started the inning by walking Profar, who then advanced to third on a double by 3B Christian Villanueva. Telis brought in Profar with an RBI grounder to second, also moving Villanueva to third with only one out. After Dunnington struck out DH Andrew Clark, the GreenJackets brought in RHP Stephen Harrold (W, 3-1) to face RF Josh Richmond. Richmond delivered his third hit of the game, an RBI single to right, scoring Villanueva and tying the game, 4-4.

However, Augusta responded in the top of the ninth with four runs against RHP Andres Perez-Lobo (L, 0-2) and RHP Jorge Marban to retake the lead, 8-4. Harrold then tossed a three-up, three-down bottom of the ninth to close the 8-4 win for Augusta.
